Welcome to my portfolio website! I'm glad you came to visit! I want to keep you entertained, so I will tell you a little about myself before we get to business. My name is Holly, and I am a graphic designer. I have been designing since 2010 and it is my passion! I just absolutely LOVE designing! I learn something new almost every time I design. I'm growing, along with the ever changing society we live in. Trends run the world. But I try to break away from the trends sometimes, and do things my own way. I started designing as a hobby and now 7 years later, I work for clients that dig my past work in my portfolio.
I did not go to college to learn design, I picked it up as a hobby and then as I developed more skill and knowledge, I started working for my friends & family, then from word of mouth and a bit of marketing & networking, I have clients, like you, contacting me to do design work for you and your businesses. I think learning this way is great because passion can be just as good as a degree. People who have their mind set on something cannot be stopped!
I would have to say, my main niche, would be creating marketing material for small businesses. I say small business because I have not yet tried to climb the corporate ladder and get hired at big designing firm that works with the big corporations. Nor do I plan on doing that in the future. As a matter of fact, being an entrepreneur myself, I like working with the "little" guy. I love to hear other business owners ideas and opinions about different things. Some are quite quirky, but you have to have some level of crazy to take on such a feat of running your own business!
A B O U T M E
Sometimes a seemingly simple design is not so easy to create. Sometimes, I hear people tell me, "Its just a flyer, how hard can it be?" Now - for the first time ever, I am writing about this topic. Most of the time, my clients are more than happy to pay me the wage I ask for, but sometimes, people don't understand actually how much work goes into a project - and I completely understand that. They haven't walked in a designer's shoes before - and besides, I make it look easy... ;)

"Keeping it simple, can be hard."
The most experience I have is in small business advertising. I normally do logos, brochures, catalogs, pamphlets and print / web advertisment images. I love designing, its a passion. I love the feeling when a client sees the final artwork for the first time and says how 'it was everything they were thinking it would be' or 'I cant believe you made it work, its beautiful!'. I am very confident in my work now. If I don't feel like I am the right person for your particular project, I will say so. I'm not doing this for the money, although, I need to provide for myself and be able to live on this as an income. I believe I charge a fair wage. It took a long time to get where I am now, and A LOT of long hours designing. When you pay the wage I insist upon, you are paying for 7 years of designing practice, plus all the years that groomed me to be who I am today. I am only getting better at my work, every project I work on, I seem to learn a little bit more about designing, how to use my programs, and the skill of layout design.
